I love going here to get my manicure and pedicure done by Trish. She's the best. She's been doing my nails since they've opened. She pays attention to detail and leaves my hands/toes looking fabulous. She's great at recommending colors for me too.
Started going regularly and service was great, however it went downhill very quickly. They need a larger space and more help. Forget about walking in, you need an appointment with the technician you like. My last visit was horrible, tech did not give me what i wanted, messed up my nails then made excuses why it was this way. Looking for a new nail salon.
I've been coming here ever since they opened. Yes, just like every new place you go you have some doubt until you find a person you really like who does your nails the way you want. I am a very picky person, extremely picky actually and I've had great experiences here from the beginning. The pricing is good and the work is great! From waxes, pedicures, to full sets, and just gel polish manicures which I've recently been getting, I have NOT been disappointed. Every where I go I get compliments on my nails, my patients love seeing them and I can proudly send them to M&K spa.
The only reason I'm giving one star, is because I can't give zero. This is hands down the absolute WORST salon I've ever been to. My aunt is a regular of the owner, Johnny, and her acrylic nails always look great. Went the day before Mother's Day for a simple gel manicure. I should've run out the door the second the "tech" (undeserving of such a title) picked up the electric file to use on my natural nails. Every other salon that I've ever been to has soaked off the polish by putting acetone on a cotton ball, placing it on the nail and wrapping just the fingertip in aluminum foil, and the polish always comes off with no issue. She had me soak my entire hands in a bowl of acetone and then hot water to remove the gel polish that was already on my nails, which I had to do several times because it wasn't coming off. After burning me several times with the electric file, she asked if I wanted my nails cut and I asked her to just trim them down a little... she cut them all off. Then came the paint job. Besides the ridiculous way she did it by painting one finger on one hand at a time and putting it under the UV light, she painted over my skin and cuticles, and didn't clean it up even after asking her to do so several times. Was charged $40 for a gel manicure and nail painting for my 7 year old daughter. Every other salon with better practices has only charged me about $25-26 for the exact same services. Within 4 days of getting my nails done, 7 of the 10 had began to peel off. My aunt text the owner and he told me to come back the following Saturday and HE would fix it. I get there the day of the new appointment to find that he had double booked himself and sent me to another guy to do them. He didn't even bother soaking the polish off, and instead used the electric tool to sand off the polish, burning and cutting me several times. He finishes, and begins to write up a sale ticket, at which point I had to notify him that I wasn't paying because they messed up so bad the week prior -- something that the owner should have explained to him before I sat down, and saved me the embarrassment. And here we are 4 days after again, and the gel is already starting to crack. Not to mention how weak and flimsy my nails are from being sanded down to nothing. Steer clear of this overpriced hack job establishment.
