He was mad that I wouldn't agree to put Jax on yet another med that will make him sick and all because he wouldn't make 300 on the script and because he didn't like that I asked for a prescription because it's cheaper to buy it online!!
2nd case and I will add that I won't be returning for anything at this vet now!
He is money hungry to the point that he will screw over your animal!!
First thing that happened was I care for my aunts dog when they travel. This was a new Pomeranian puppy who was very tiny and had been to my aunt's vet several times due to repeated bacterial bladder infection because his bladder was so tiny. So he came to me with antibiotics but as soon as he finished the infection returned. Spoke with my aunt and we agreed to bring him in to my vet.. mobile vet. Now I had her regular vet fax over his recent vet visits so they knew it was just a recheck for bacteria which is a simple test and inexpensive. When I told him I had her credit card, his eyes lit up and he cracked a joke about spending money. At the time.. I thought it was funny! That's until I saw that he took it upon himself to do over 400.00 in tests! Now, being the first time.. I was still very upset but gave them the benefit of doubt because this had never happened before.
I'm appalled by how I was treated there and it cost me over 400 for blood work for absolutely nothing!!
Compassionate, Caring and very professional! The doctors are very knowledgeable and all have "great bedside manners" they really take the time to explain everything. The vet techs were very considerate and patient. I had to put my dog to sleep and I was not at all rushed. They were very understanding and gave me time to deal with my loss. They aren't just a vet practice they are a family!
I strongly suggest if you use this vet.. watch carefully!!!
All of the vets and techs are amazing. We brought our sick dog to them and they were so compassionate and gentle with him. We lost him due to an aggressive cancer and they were crying with us as he passed. A few days later we received a hand written note from everyone in the office. Highly recommend!
So, my dog Jax had grew up at mobile vet but when he tore his first acl ligament we had to temporarily change vets because they don't do that surgery at mobile vet.. my Jax is 165lbs so he needed special surgery.
The whole time we were there he was trying to get me to run tests he didn't need and wasn't there for. Then tried to get me to put Jax on a drug that's 300 dollars a script and when he had the others vet info and already knew what was working for Jax. Also, I'm disabled, they know that and I'm on a limited income. My dog still comes first but let me tell you what he did...
I used to be a big fan of this practice but things have changed over the last few years.. they have become untrustworthy and money hungry!
While at the other vet we found out that Jax can't handle many pain pills.. we went through countless meds and he would become very sick. The one that finally worked was tramadol. My poor Jax tore both acls and the day he had the 2nd surgery he was dropped by the vet and tore his meniscus THE DAY OF SURGERY! Needless to say my dog had been through enough and 8000 in surgeries. He was scared and terrified of vets since then.
All he was there for was to refill his prescription because he suffers without it. I called to make the apt.. they said he would have to have bloodwork before they would do it. Let me start by saying .. no bloodwork is needed on this med! It's not a anti-inflammatory drug and they do not need blood tests for it. But I'm backed into a corner and worried about my dog being in pain so off we go to mobile vet.
Our dogs were boarded over the Christmas holiday for 3 nights. We had used this boarding service once before & returned because there seemed to be no problem, however, this time our experience was quite different. Our dogs returned smelling foul. The beds we had sent with them had been urinated in more than once. One of our dogs had had ACL surgery weeks ago and had chewed through his bandage even with the cone on his head and now the leg is infected. He was 2 weeks out of surgery and on medication they assured us he would receive. We have had NO problem at home. I called today and found out that the dogs are allowed out 2 or maybe 3 times a day with the last time at 6 PM. No dog can hold their urine or anything else until 8 in the morning after a a last opportunity to use the outdoors at 6 PM. The 1st time we used their boarding area we were told someone stays in the facility overnight. This time I am being told "oh no,no one stays here overnight to take care of the animals". So which is it? I am warning anyone who is going to board their animals here that there seems to be a discrepancy from the 1st time you use this facility to the next. We will not be returning. This has caused our animal hardship he wouldn't be facing otherwise. Highly recommend you think twice before using the boarding services as the information given to new clients is contradictory.
However, I always wait 15 minutes or more for the scheduled appointment.
He ordered AGAIN over 400.00 in blood tests and then refused to give Jax his meds!!!
So now surgeries are done and we return to mobile vet.
He literally screwed my dog by taking the ONLY med that has been therapeutic for him and he knows how much trauma my dog has been through!
Very caring staff. Doctors take time and explain every detail of the situation with your animal. Clean, does not smell like some kennels can.
